This nine-week course offers a close study of vital intersection of historical narrative and prophetic vision during Judah's post-exilic restoration. Special attention will be given to the rebuilding of the temple, covenant renewal, and the social and political dynamics of shaping a distinct Jewish identity under Persian imperial rule. By integrating these civic and prophetic texts, the class explores the profound challenges and theological hopes of a community reconstructing its faith and future.
